Help learners in the transition to – and survival in – HE and the workplace: an event exploring collaborative approaches and strategies to independent learning that are supported by the use of technology.

Who is it for? 

Teaching practitioners, librarians and managers.

What is it about?

It’s about exploring your own ideas to support your learners’ development.

The invited speakers will share their experiences to spark your thinking about your own context. A central theme will be offering support for your own actions and planning.

  • Deborah Millar and Joanna Neil, Blackburn College – Using Social Networking: more than engagement, a valuable research tool that fosters enquiry, collaboration and analytical thinking.
  • Neil Borg, West Cheshire College – Blogging for teaching and assessment.
  • Jane Secker, LSE and Emma Coonan, University of Cambridge – A new curriculum for information literacy  (ANCIL).
